Ready to take your AI art to the next level? Midjourney’s generative artificial intelligence service, Midjourney 5.1, has recently improved dramatically, and Brains is here to tell you about it!
Midjourney advertises this version of its engine as being closer to the results from version 4, with higher quality opinions. However, a “raw” mode is also available for those who don’t want a heavy image. In addition, the update reduces unwanted border and text artifacts, resulting in clearer and more accurate results.
Notable improvements in Midjourney V5.1 over V5.0 include improved consistency, more accurate response to text cues, less unwanted border and text artifacts, and clearer image quality.
Enabling V5.1 is simple: go to /settings and select ‘V5.1’ (line 2) or type ‘- v 5.1’ after the prompt. midjourney has enabled AI modding again on models from V5 onwards, and it’s better than ever.
The AI appeals system now has a limit of 25 rejections per day, but successful appeals do not count toward the daily limit.
Midjourney’s plan is to install V5.1 and AI moderation in default mode (V4+) by the end of this week, if all goes well, with V5.1-style improvements and possibly a V5.2 update in the future, so stay tuned.
